BLOCK BYTES: More October Events

Riverside Park Conservancy & Us Fall Clean Up

Even though we only had two participants, in two hours last Saturday, we were able to make a measurable impact, raking leaves and sticks on the West side of Riverside Drive from 103 Street to 106 Street.

It’s not too late to join this effort. Our next date to Volunteer is October 24th, where we will planting in the Park. But you must sign up early, in order to complete COVID disclaimers on line. So, if you haven’t already done so, please notify me prior to that Saturday.

Please note this is a corrected date from the last block byte.

And we still have the $50 for 50 Appeal

It is not too late to still contribute to the special appeal.

Facing a significant budget shortfall, we have been asking block residents to help keep our block beautiful and welcoming. If you have contributed great, if not please consider this the time to do so. You can give $50, a multiple of $50 or a fraction of $50—we appreciate whatever you can do to help. This is an addition to yearly block dues.

Donate through PayPal.

To donate by check, please make it payable to the West 104th Street Block Association and mail or drop off to Barbara Boynton, Treasurer, 905 West End Avenue, Apartment 71, New York, NY 10025 or with Steve Zirinsky, 315 RSD (9A), Joyce Mann, 309 W. 104th (3A), Alex Grannis, 895 WEA or Gary Waskow, 320 RSD, (8G).

Stay home, be safe, and do keep in touch with us.

Thanks!

Steven Zirinsky
