COVID has changed our lives. And sadly, it has impacted our ability to have the yard sale. But it has not changed the spirit of the West 104th Street Block Association.
We will still hold the popular 50/50 raffle.Please look for Block Association members selling tickets on the West End Avenue street corner over the next few weeks and weekends. Stop by to say hello- socially distanced of course.
The 50/50 winner will be announced on Sept 26th at 4pm, at a location on the block to be determined. Last year the winner took home $2493!.
In addition to the sale of raffle tickets,T-shirts, facemasks, hats, and three types of tote bags will be available for purchase.
We can, and will, provide for contactless sales. Please contact me to arrange for that.
But all other activities of our yearly yard sale- such as vendors tables, book sales, the what a bargain table, and the bake sale will need to be put on hold until next year.
Celebration of the Block Association’s 50th Anniversary
This year, 2020, the Block Association turns fifty! We invite our neighbors to join us in a virtual salute to West 104th Street. Send us a brief statement about what living on the block means to you.We will feature a roundup of these comments in the September issue of the block newsletter.

$50 for 50 Appeal
The Block Association is launching a special appeal for its 50th anniversary. Facing a significant budget shortfall, we are asking block residents to help keep our block beautiful and welcoming. Please contribute to our Anniversary Fund. You can give $50, a multiple of $50 or a fraction of $50—we appreciate whatever you can do to help. This is an addition to yearly block dues.
