Block Bytes: 2018 Yard Sale Wrap Up

Dear Block Residents,

It was a great day.

As President of the Block Association, I wanted to give my take on the yard sale. It was a success financially and, judging by the smiles, with the residents too.

Our raffle set a new record – $4,051. The winner was Jesse Berger, resident of 320 RSD – he took home $2025.50. Second place was Teresa Elwert, also of 320 RSD. She took home $100. Third Place was Arlene Metrick, resident of 900 WEA, she took home $50.

We could not have done it without the block’s support, the help given by building staff, the volunteers, the vendors with their goods, and the local businesses with their silent auction donations. A huge thanks to everyone.

Architects of Bloomingdale

On October 15, attend an illustrated presentation by Jim Mackin and Gil Tauber about the architects who shaped our neighborhood.

Halloween Parade
October 31, 6PM, 103 Street and WEA. Presented by the 102/103 Block Association.

If you are new to the neighborhood, this is not to be missed…6pm sharp.

Spring Bulb Planting

We expect to do the spring planting Dec 1, weather permitting. Come out and say hi, or, if you have a green thumb contact me, if you are interested in helping with the planting.
