About the Board
The West 104th Street Block Association is governed by the Board of Directors consisting of not less than ten but no more than fifteen members. Officers of the Board include the President, Vice-President, Secretary, Treasurer. The Board conducts regular monthly meetings and may hold special meetings if needed. Subcommittees may be created to address special block projects and may include non-Board members if their expertise would be of benefit to the subcommittee. All subcommittees report back to the general Board members with any action items.
All block activities are decided by two-thirds of the votes cast by members either in person at the meeting or by proxy. A vacancy may be filled by any block resident 19 years and older who receives majority approval by the existing Board members.
