October 9: Bloomingdale Bites

Circular Relief medallion depicting figures of Tragedy and Comedy holding shields with a frown or smile. The two nude female figures, a darker figure with short brown hair holding her head in her hand, the other with short blond hair lifting her alarms and one foot in a dance, are standing within the circle with a purple background on top and a dark pink basket weave below representing the floor. Dividing these are a ribbon of gilded fruit and flowers.

Bloomingdale Bites – Eating & Movie Trivia

October 9th, 6 to 9 PM

This year we have local restaurant fare pared with a movie trivia themed contest.
The folks from the Upper West Side Cinema Center will give an update on the renovation of the Metro Theater into a five- screen independent film center.

This will be followed by a specialized trivia contest centered around New York City and film.
Bloomingdale Bites, a joint undertaking of our Block Association, the West 102 -103 Street Block Association, and the Columbus-Amsterdam BID, offers a chance for neighbors to come together for dinner, socializing, and entertainment.

Those who attended our last Bloomingdale Bites trivia night, which focused on New York City history, will recall a merry but hard-fought contest, with teams vying for the first prize of a gift certificate to one of the participating restaurants. Many of the groups were formed then and there, with people who otherwise didn’t know one another joining up to compete together. The food was delicious as well as varied. It was a wonderful opportunity to meet new neighbors or get reacquainted with old friends.

We do expect this to sell out.
This invitation is being sent to the two Block Associations a few days prior to the rest of the community so that you do not get shut out.

This is the way it works- by clicking on the RSVP link below it guarantees you a spot as long as you get there by 6:15 (doors open at 5:45). After 6:15 it is first come first served- and – if there is room – those in the waiting line will be allowed in. So be sure to get there on time!

Cost is $15 for adults and $10 for anyone under fifteen, payment at the door.

Restaurant providers will be posted closer to the event.
